DTC!

We began our 'official' adoption journey in March of 2014. Today, which is five months and many FedEx'd documents later, we received news that our dossier has been sent to China and should be in the hands of the China Center for Children's Welfare and Adoption (CCCWA) by next week! This is one of those big milestones in the adoption process, and now it's here for us.

Here's hoping for a quick match with our boy! Happy Friday!

Adoption Timeline

3/22/14 - Decided to Go For It

3/25/14 - Application Submitted to CCAI

4/3/14 - Orientation meeting at CCAI

4/25/14 - First home study visit

5/2/14 - Meeting with MD about med conditions

6/14/14 - Sent documents to US Dept. of State

6/23/14 - Home study approved

6/23/14 - CCAI sent I-800A Application to Immigration

7/3/14 - USCIS received I-800A Application

7/10/14 - Biometrics appt. date / Dept. of Homeland Sec.

7/21/14 - Fingerprints taken at USCIS (biometrics)

8/7/14 - Received I-800A approval by mail

8/8/14 - I-800A notarized and certified

8/22/14 - Dossier to China (DTC)

8/27/14 - Log in Date (LID), start the wait for a referral

10/27/14 - Still waiting for a match....

10/31/14 - Our Match Day!

11/25/14 - Letter Seeking Confirmation from Adopter (LOA)

12/2/14 - I-800 Filed

12/16/14 - I-800 Provisional Approval received

12/23/14 - NVC letter received with GUZ number

12/23/14 - DS-260 submitted to US Dept. of State

1/13/15 - Article 5 sent from US Consulate to CCCWA

1/16/15 - Travel Approval (soft copy) received!
2/2/15 - Adoption / Gotcha Day
